The estimated cost of Unit-I works at June 1986-87 price level was Rs 1019.45 crore and it is Rs 8930.53 crore at 2008-09 price level. The year-wise outlay and expenditure booked so far on various items of works of Unit-I are given in Table 3.4.

3.4.2 UNIT-III (HYDRO POWER WORKS)
The SSCAC in its 77th meeting held on 7th May 2010 has accepted the 2008-09 price level Unit-III estimates for an amount of Rs. 2910.88 crore.
The proposal of revision of Cost Estimate of SSP is under consideration. The revised cost at the 2014-15 price level, has been finalised by CWC for Rs 54772.94 crores. The finalised revised estimate cost of Unit –I(Dam & Appurtenant works)and Unit III (hydro Power) are Rs 6709.80 crores and 3636.93 crores respectively.
